CPI Aerostructures, Inc. is an Edgewood defense contractor that manufactures aircraft components, primarily for the U.S. military. When they needed to expand their operations to a new facility, the company considered relocating to growing aerospace cluster in the Southeast.
We showed the company the benefits of remaining on Long Island, finding a larger facility to accommodate their growing business and creating an incentives deal worth $900,000 in tax abatements and exemptions. As part of the agreement, CPI Aero agreed to employ 80 new full-time workers and retain 142 existing jobs through the year 2022.
